Lovin the look of the new Wii U Por controller:
Hot off the press from Iwata’s [pre-recorded] transmission Nintendo Direct, Nintendo have announced that the Wii U Pro controller will be coming to the Nintendo Wii U.

As we already knew, the Wii U will be compatible with other controllers you may already previously own, such as a Wii Remote, Nunchuk or Wii Balance board.

The Wii U Pro Controller will also be available for Nintendo’s new system and is an attempt at providing a more traditional control experience for what we can only assume are third party developers.

Sporting analog sticks and buttons, with no fancy touchscreens, the controller appears to have everything that you would expect to find on a standard game controller, including shoulder buttons/triggers, two analogue sticks, four face buttons and of course the Nintendo original D-Pad.

No pricing nor release details for the Wii U Pro Controller have been announced just yet – we’re not sure if you’ll get one in the box or if they will be only available separately. We do know, however, that third party developers now really have no excuse for not releasing their titles on the console and we’re looking forward to hearing further developments from them.
