Tolkien’s Oxford home up for sale


Tolkien and his wife Edith moved to the property on 30 March 1953, leaving 99 Holywell Street in the centre of Oxford for the suburb of Headington to the east. The couple lived there until mid-July 1968, when they left Oxford and moved to Poole.
