Nintendo's E3 conference date and time confirmed

It's happening on June 5th.

Just in case you've been living under a rock and missed the news being plastered all over the interwebs yesterday, Nintendo have confirmed the date and time of their hugely anticipated E3 conference. The Nintendo E3 2012 conference will take place on June 5th at 9am in Los Angeles (That's 02:00 June 6th in Eastern Australia).

Expect the Wii U to be unveiled in it's final form along with details of the major launch titles (though there'll be no date or pricing information released). It's also expected that the new iteration of Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and Pikmin 3 will be shown. What else to expect? New Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3DS will no doubt also be featured along with additional details about Nintendo's new "same-day-as-retail" download service and of course we can also expect the obligatory (and undoubtedly leaked in advance) surprise announcements for which all E3 press conferences are famous. I'm hoping for some details on the Super Mario 4 game (if it actually exists) and maybe a "megaton" announcement such as an all new Zelda for 3DS or maybe a game featuring the previously mention new Nintendo characters.

Whatever the announcements may be, we'll find it all out come June 5th!
